Youth Night at Zion

Youth completing 7^th through 12^th grades are invited to gather at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening, June 18^th at Zion Lutheran at 806 Highland Hwy, for a night of fun, food and campfire mingling. The large yard at Zion provides the perfect spot to bring out the bean bag/cornhole boards, put up a volleyball net, and break out the croquet sets for a little friendly competition.

Youth can determine teams when they arrive for some tournament competition with prizes to be awarded.

[How big can a candy bar get?]

A meal will be available for everyone attending through a Thrivent grant but donations of bars would be greatly appreciated from our faithful volunteer cookie bakers.

The fun night will end with sitting around a campfire for time to catchup with friends, enjoy Christian fellowship and promote a sense of community. Youth are welcome to bring a friend and those who have ball games are encouraged to come after their game. The plan is to be there from 6:30-11:00 pm.

Anyone with another yard game they’d like to bring our welcome to do so. I am still looking for a few volunteers for the evening to bring and set up the outdoor games, assist with the meal, and/or play guitar around the campfire.

Everyone will need to bring their own lawn chair. Confirmation mentors are encouraged to bring your mentee. Contact Pastor Cheryl to volunteer or help in anyway for this youth activity.
