Youth Ministry

Kid's Club

Kids Club is our Wednesday afternoon program for 1st-6th grade children. We usually meet from 3:30 to 4:30 pm during the school year. Our meeting consists of a snack, crafts, games, and bible stories. Kid’s Club is paused for now until we find a new Elementary Youth Leader. 

Youth Group

Youth Group is for 7th-12th grade youth. It is led by our Jr. & Sr. High Youth Leader, Kaitlyn Burdorf with the continued voluntary support of Ronda Thielke. We meet Wednesdays during the school year from 5:30-7:00 pm. We have supper, we check in with each other, we discuss everyday life, we do service projects, we have fun, and we have a strong faith in God.

Mentor Programs

Our Mentor program is for all Confirmation students. Our hope is that these intergenerational relationships will help the youth be more connected to church.

Youth will pick a Mentor the first year of Confirmation. They will be expected to meet two times a year and also either greet at church or Fairway View Neighborhood. We will meet three times a year as a large group.

Confirmation

Confirmation classes are for youth 7th-9th grade. They meet Wednesday after school during the school year. Confirmation is in the fall of 10th grade, usually on the last Sunday in October, Reformation Sunday.

2023-2024

We met on early-out days, and throughout Lent for the ’23-’24 school year. 

Sunday School

We meet on Sundays from 10:00-11:00 am during the school year. Sunday School is led by the Board of Christian Education members and volunteers.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible Study during the summer is for children that have finished Kindergarten through sixth grade. There are bible stories, arts & crafts, activities, and lots of singing! There is no cost to you. We hope that your child will join us!

The Great Jungle Journey '24

In 2024, we are planning to have a joint Bible School with Zion Lutheran Church. It will be held at Zion and will run from June 9th to the 13th at 6:30 p.m.– 8:45 p.m. The theme will be “The Great Jungle Journey.” Please register by clicking on the button below. 

Register For VBS

Every day, our kids are bombarded with questions: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible? At this VBS, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life. Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey!
