Please join us tomorrow for our 3rd Sunday of Advent worship service at 9:00 AM. Our Sunday School children will be performing The Christmas Story: from Luke 2:1-20 and Matthew 2:1-12 with excerpts from “Bed, Bath and Beyond: When Heaven Touched Earth” by Ellen S. Bunnell.
Please consider arriving early at 8:15am for coffee fellowship and our Youth Bake Sale in the Narthex before our service. The bake sale will continue after our service at 10 am. The youth are also selling God's Creation 2026 Calendars.
And there will also be coffee & Jesus' Birthday cake in the Fellowship hall after the service. And the council meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, December 10th was moved to after this Sunday's service.
There are Stewardship envelopes in the Narthex, and 2026 giving envelopes for those who requested them. If you don't see giving envelopes with your name on them and would like some, please contact someone in the office. You can also bring back your filled-in opportunity sheets and pledge dedications and place them in the box in the Narthex.
The Board of Evangelism set up the Giving Tree in the Narthex. Next to the tree is a basket of named envelopes of choices you may donate your gift to. Place the envelope of your choice in the box labeled "GIFTS" (preferably a check written to First English Lutheran Church).
There will be plenty to do before and after our service tomorrow!
