Dr. Stephen & Jodi Swanson are entering a Season of Change. After much prayer and discernment, they have resigned from their role as missionaries in the ELCA. Their last day with the ELCA will be October 31, 2025.
They are ending their employment with the ELCA, but they are continuing their work with infants, children and mothers in Arusha. They are not leaving Tanzania. They plan to continue on in the work they have been doing the past decade: training healthcare workers and fostering innovation in neonatology in ways that are specific to the African context.
