Ryan’s Story (Drug Addiction Presentation)

Beth St Martin to tell Ryan’s Story and the Heartbreak of Addiction

First English and Zion Lutheran confirmation students and youth in grades 7 through 12 along with their parents are invited to hear Ryan’s Story at 6:00 pm on Wednesday evening, April 23rd.

Beth Koch St Martin of Milbank, SD will tell the story of a family dealing with the addiction of a child and the pain and grief in the loss of a loved one. The goal of Ryan’s Story is trying to erase some of the stigma around drug addiction and to get people to understand it can happen to anyone.

St Martin tells the story from the non-addict view and then talks about grief, coping, and what she does to manage her grief. St Martin will be speaking in the sanctuary at First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN.

With the increase of drugs in communities and younger children, this presentation is providing an opportunity to hear this story in hope it may save another family the pain and grieve of losing a child through the heartache of addiction.
